James Ashfield is an award-winning Theatre Producer. He has produced theatre in both commercial and subsidised theatres across the UK, at the Edinburgh Festival and on tour. He is Producer for the five time award winning new musical, Hot Mess and was also Producer for the UK Theatre Award winning Swim, Aunty, Swim! Prior to that he was Assistant Producer on the Olivier Award Winning Standing at the Sky's Edge.

 

James is the Producer for the UK’s first in-house New Musical Theatre department at Birmingham Hippodrome, developing, commissioning and producing new musicals on Hippodrome stages and beyond. 

 

He has produced and developed a number of musicals and plays by artists including Jack Godfrey, Chris Bush, Corey Campbell, Richard Hawley, Ellie Coote, Jordan Li-Smith, Daniel Raggett, Rob Hastie, Anthony Lau, Laura Keefe, Sarah Tipple, Paul Foster, Elin Schofield, Charlotte Bennett, Kit Buchan, Jim Barne, Iain Lauchlan, Kelly Jones, Casey Bailey, Madeleine Kludje, Richie Webb and Michael Buffong.
